Hello all, Narbik is thinking about doing his CCIE bootcamp in Bangkok, April 22-26. This isn't a done deal (so you won't see it advertised on his website) because we are gathering up the minimum number of people. I'll be there in April running my own CCNP study group and came up with the crazy idea of seeing if Narbik…
I took the CIERS1 cisco 360 bootcamp on global knowledge and the instructor told us that the exercise lab on the 360 are harder than the real lab. i wonder if anybody had take this class and take the lab that confirm this believe. I just wonder if that is true.

Haven't been on here in like years, Anyway, I'm back to working on my CCIE R&S and my Boss is helping me built a lab at work. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with the switches. I now have 2 3750 POE switches and 1 3560 and another 3750. The POE switches are very valuable around here, they don't care much about the…

So, the first subnet is in sparse mode and the second in dense mode. What I am scratching my head over is I put an access list on the RP router only allowing…
I came across this very-experienced engineer's blog, and here is his feedback on recently taking the CCIE written. He's a very bright guy and has been a senior engineer for a long time. If his feedback isn't encouraging, at least it's sobering. CCIE R&S Written — Epic Fail (Again Again) | Aaron's Worthless Words
I would like experienced network engineers to comment on the state of IS-IS in today's networks. I personally have never encountered it but I've never worked at the SP level. 1. Do you still encounter IS-IS in today's networks and in what type of designs or environment(SP for example) do you see it? 2. Have YOU ever…
With the R&S track recently behind me, I've decided to start working towards the Service Provider track as well. I work with a handful of service Providers in the South East and this can help me with some of the ASR and CSR technologies I work on from time to time. I will be reviewing the following books towards my studies…
Is anyone else up at 5am trying to study? My ideal sched is to study 2 hours before work, 1 hour at lunch, and 3 hours in the evening. Saturday my goal is 8 hours. I don't usually get all that in though. I don't study on Sunday and usually Monday evening though. Any other time is potential study time.
