Hi, folks Im studying for the CCNP SP. And i tried a sample test. One question that confuses me is this one: Can this be right? I would say C that is load balances between the links because of equal cost. Or A because there are fewer hops. But i can't under stand why it should be B? Can anyone explain this to me?
Hey guys, I'm running a DMVPN lab with single area OSPF. I've configured an ospf priority of 50 on the Hub and 0 on the Spokes. The Hub has the necessary tunnel config and a static default route to point to the Internet (R4), to reach all Spokes, and vice-versa for Spokes. Maybe someone can shed some light as to why my…
If I went ahead and studied for the SWITCH, ROUTE, and TSHOOT tests using the prior materials (using the pre-300-115, for example, material), wouldn't this effectively get me past, say, 90-95% of the material being tested on? It would save me a small fortune in funds at a time when I really don't have it to spend.
I'm looking at this book and seeing this hub and spoke scenario, and it's challenging me. What seems odd is that from my CCNA days, I studied Frame Relay (I will be learning MPLS soon from CCNP!) and how a spoke could learn about a network behind another spoke, from the hub, via OSPF, EIGRP, etc. However, you apparently…
I decided that I want to build a lab for the CCNP. Thinking of buying the following: 3x 3750 Switches 3x 1841 Routers Would these devices be sufficient for objectives?
About a month into my Switch studies. Just wondering if anyone on the forums has some advice for labbing in the Switch. I'm a bit short on cash at the moment so ideally wanted to use Lab simulators. I've had a look at GNS3, however it doesn't seem you can fully emulate switches and miss features such as VLAN's, VRRP etc.
I think both L3 and L2 switches can do transparent bridging. Am I wrong about that? I'm asking because of question 1 in "Do I Know This Already?" in Chapter 2 of CCNP Switching 300-115 guide. Question is: Which of the following devices performs transparent bridging? A. Ethernet hub. B. Layer 2 switch. C. Layer 3 switch. D.…
Hi I am not so clear why EIGRP summary route has AD 5 and How it's affecting the routing table when you have more specific route for that summary????? Regards, Notun
If I have two rules one with priority 10 and and one with priority 11 and priority 10 rule has mapping criteria that will cause the connection to fail, will the asa/client default to the next priority or will it fail altogether? This is for IPSec IKEv2 VPN connections.
Hey TE, Sleep is for the weak. But in all seriousness it's 3:37AM in Baltimore, and man there is nothing like staying up to lab at night(I have work in the morning:]). Studying after midnight for me is so fulfilling for some reason, I just feel so awake and energized always around this time. What was the latest time you…
