I'm finally ready to schedule the exam. Being that this is a $600 exam, I'm wondering if anyone knows where to get a voucher code for either ISC2 or PearsonVue. They ask for it at checkout. Also, I'm a WGU Grad student. Does anyone know of any academic pricing, or partnership between ISC2 and WGU? Any help you can provide…
I have access to multiple CISSP Books (Shon Harris 6, Eric Conrad, Sybex 7, and of course ISC2 Official Doorstop). Broadly I have found Sybex 7 to be the most readable - but I am concerned that when I refer to other books for similar topics, I find a ton more info that isn't in Sybex, or that things that Sybex has pages on…
Hi all, I registered an account and main purpose of doing so and writing here is to give back, as this place has been giving me a lot in the past few months. I'd like to share about my journey and experience. 1. Background - I have IT audit & compliance related work for the 7+ years. Got my CISA few years ago. 2. I started…
I will keep this short and to the point. 1. I passed (I failed 2 times back in January and April) 2. I attended a boot camp ( Best advice; Read Answers, Read Questions, Read Answers) -- Course gave me confidence 3. Read the material (Oh the agony....the Shon Harris (RIP), Eric Conrad, Michael Chapple agony) 4. If you know…

Hello all, I passed my CISSP exam on the first attempt. Background: I don't have any work experience. I received my master degree in computer science and right after that I started to study for the CISSP exam. Materials: I only used the Eric' CISSP Study Guide book and the CCCure paid questions. No other book, reference,…
If you're in Ohio the Central Ohio ISSA chapter has a great 13-week / 39-hour CISSP Prep class (Thursdays from 6-9pm starting 9/8/16) for only $295 for ISSA members (non-member is $500, but it's only ~$115 to join ISSA so it's cheaper to join than paying as a non-member). Fall 2016 CISSP Prep Class – Central Ohio ISSA
Which one do you guys recommend? I have my test in a months time. I am hearing a lot about CCcure being way too technical. Appreciate your input on this.
Hello, I passed the CISSP last week. I have spent several hours looking at what certification to do next but nothing really seems worthy ROI wise. The higher CISSP concentrations seem interesting. Maybe CISM? I was interested in the PMP but no where near the requirements you need for it. I would like to get into management…
I just ordered the AIO book to help prep for SSCP. It seems a lot of the exam objectives have carry over between CEH and SSCP. Is the book enough of a study guide to fill in the gaps between the CEH and SSCP? Thanks!
