I scraped a Pass from my first Security + attempt today. I thought I'd post this as I valued other posts by people who have taken the exam already. I used Professor Messer videos (and course notes) / Darril Gibson online (not the book) & Comptia Certmaster. I spent a hell of a lot of time studying for this. I was greeted…
I have no IT experience but interested in getting into cyber security and getting the Security + certification. Is it possible to pass the exam by simply studying the information and study guides or is there other certifications/classes that i should try to learn first? Where should i be starting?
Took the exam today and passed with a score in the low 800's. I glanced over some of the material for a couple of days as I passed the last exam 301 over 3 years relatively easy. I figured this wouldn't be a sweat. They are definitely upping their game. Or maybe it's because I'm not interested in security...who knows.
Hey Guys, I'm new, as of a few minutes ago :) I'm a current CCNA: R&S with a solid bit of voice, storage, and virtualization experience. I'll be sitting for the Security+ exam at the end of April, and my question is for the good folks that have passed the Security+ 401 (latest). I need to pass the exam in fewer than…
Is this the best way to go in regards to passing the exam? I have already read his book and David Prowse'. Anyone used his online test exams and do they help prepare you for passing the exam? Many thanks
Are the questions on the exam similar to online questions ?
Just as the title of my thread states, I'm continuously hitting 96-98% on questions on Darril's site. I've went over aspects that I was weak on such as cryptography and PKI. Anyone else hit these scores and passed the exam?
Rejoining IT field... What are the better choices for Security + certification
So I am kind of new to this site but just thought I would share my experience. I passed my Security +. I re certified because I have talked with a few recruiters recently and they stated that for a bunch of different government jobs like you to have it. I had it before back in 2011 and let it lapse because I didn't really…
I just passed my Security+ today with a score of 880/900. I studied for two weeks and only used Darril Gibson's book. The exam is not that hard if you really know the concepts. :) I want to pursue that path of Penetration Testing. So what cert should I pursue next? I'm thinking of CEH but may told that it's not worth…
