Just passed the Sec+ exam this morning, and it was definitely nerve-wracking...... Just wanted to let people know I used Darril Gibson's Get Certified Get Ahead kindle book, as well as his flashcard and practice exams kindle app. I also went through the entire Udemy Security+ Course by Infinite Skills. I feel even if I…
Passed SY0-401 today. Just a little background on me. I passed the old SY0-301 in January 2012. I let it lapse. This exam was more in depth to me. The sims were a little tricky too. I may try to knock out CCNP Switch just to get my CCNA R&S to extend. Then push on to a higher level security cert.
Just passed Security + on my first try about an hour ago. Spent a week studying. I spent wayyy too much time on the labs. Finished the test with only 7 seconds to spare haha. Same terrible wording and sentence structure as the A+ i took back in 2010. Hate that the Sec + is CE since my A+ is CFL. Now I'm going to hop on my…
Although this likely applies to all CompTIA CE renewals, I literally just renewed my Security+ so I'll post here. You have 3 years to gain 50 CEUs in total. You also have to pay the fees (currently $150). I was under the impression that the day you upload the 50th CEU is the start day for the next 3 years. This is WRONG.…
Hello, I am currently studying for the A+ and will take it rather soon. I have a bachelors in a non-IT major but hasn't worked out very well for me at all. I am not exactly 'changing careers' but IT could be a possibility for me. I was wondering if after passing the A+, without any experience in the IT field, would it be…
Hey guys been looking for a place to offload this cert and try and get some money back figure this is as good of a place as any. So I have one sec+ voucher bought for a friend but never given to him and he backed out of studying for the exam. I have the original comptia email I will forward to you with the voucher code…
:) :):):):) I passed! Now I have to decide which cert to pursue next. Cissp seems high in demand.
I failed not to long ago. I thought that I was as prepared as I could be until I sat in front of the monitor, sweating on the SIMS. I have a new plan of attack this time around and was wondering if anyone could help out with a few questions regarding some material. i.e. NetBIOS runs on 137-139 UDP however I've read it also…
Do you think it is possible with someone with little or no experience, study and pass security+ in two weeks?
Hi all! I passed my test today and I am super excited! I used CBT Nuggets videos with Keith Barker as well as the Ucertify (through WGU) practice tests. I googled some terms that weren't very clear in the CBT videos. The sim questions on the test I wasn't prepared for at all, but luckily there was only one difficult one…
