Hey guys, I got my Sec+ exam in about 4 hours. I feel pretty ready, my main resource were: Sybex book, Darril Gibson's paid practice test, and some messer videos. Any final tips anyone can give me? Also, is there any correlation of how close the performance based q's on Gibson's practice exam to the real thing are? Cheers.
I'm using Sec+ 401 review book, CramMasteronline.com and Professor Messer. Do you think I'm over doing it? I want to test with in the next week or so
I'm in the Army and they use a study site called cramaster for comptia certification. Has anyone ever used this site? I'm studying for Sec+ 401.
Woo just passed the exam today by the skin of my teeth I was surprised by the performance questions so many..750 out of 900 lol
Took and passed my Sec+ exam this morning. I now have the "Holy Trinity" on CompTIA exams. A+, Net+ and Sec+. On to CCNA! This was for sure the toughest exam I have taken so far, and I would have liked a higher score but a pass is a pass!
my boss recently bought me CompTIA Security+ Study Guide: SY0-401, 6th Edition by Emmett Dulaney, Chuck Easttom.....has anyone used this book? how did you find it? are there any material you can recommend?
Hello guys, I have two questions regarding CEU / recertification: 1) My Sec+ cert valid date is from March 2015 - March 2018. Let's say I take and pass a CCNA Security exam (gives all 50 CEUs needed to renew Sec+) in June 2015 and submit the CEUs right away (which is still far from March 2018 ). Is this valid to renew my…
Took Security+ again, CompTIA would not honor my previous cert from 2010. So much for certifications for life. Used Darril Gibson's book only and started in early March.
Anyone have exp with WGU's labsims for security+? How did you like it? I'm in section 4 and it feels like the class so far is just labsims giving me 100 terms and memorizing them. There isnt any debt to the class so far. Is it labsims or just sec+? Would I be better off investing into Gibsons book or something else?
