I'll be there, and I'm pretty psyched about it. I've never been to an industry conference before. The hardest part was choosing which panels I wanted to attend. There frequently were 3 or 4 all in the same time slot, and I had to make a decision based on what I thought would benefit my company the most.

I have 3 coworkers attending with me, one of whom is a veteran of Live. I coordinated with them when choosing my panels, to make sure that unless it was something I REALLY wanted to attend, that we didn't have any overlap. This way we can get the biggest bang for the company's buck, and we can always compare notes and follow up with the CiscoLive365.com presentations they'll post later this summer.

It will be my first time at Cisco Live as well, co-worker will be there for multiple days but I'll attend just one day.

Which panels you chose to attend?

What do you do besides check out the vendors if you don't hit up any of the briefs?

Having drinks with all my friends I met over the years at various cisco partners and TAC. Meeting people to do business with, and just being around all the other cisco folks.

I will be there. With your Cisco Live login you can watch the video/audio presentation of all breakout sessions going back to 2011.this includes Cisco Live 2014 Milan. I don't know ow how long that lasts, maybe for a month or more after Live is over. Go check them out though! You can demo the first 15 minutes or last 15 minutes of many of the breakout sessions you are interested in and see if you would like to watch live. Or you could watch them all via Cisco Live 2014 Milan before you go and just party the whole time. I kid, I kid.....

    I'll be out there.

If it's going to be your first time, then definitely bring some comfortable shoes/sneakers last year there was a lot of walking. I heard this yea is not going to be any different the conference building is quite large. I would also try to travel lite during the conference maybe borrow a tablet w/ keyboard if you don't necessarily need to have a laptop with you the whole time.

I would drop one or two session and go through the world of solutions, early on they have some cool raffles and prizes, not to mention its a great stop to question those vendors.

There is also a 'certification corner' and the 'social lounge' where you can chill out and chat with others. Social lounge with open on Sunday and onward.

If you miss any sessions don't stress, you watch later on CiscoLive365.

You get a free certification exam, I'd use it to use it. However if you appointment they can charge you $40. Just book it early buy Wednesday/Thursday it might be bit a rough depending the events you go to icon_smile.gif )

My schedule, subject to change, Data Center and CCIE R/S v5 oriented.

Should I bring a bag or is the Cisco bag adequate? When do you relieve the Cisco bag?

Last year I just carried around the Cisco bag. I'm hoping this year's bag is bit more durable then last year's.

Usually after each day I swing by the hotel and drop everything I've picked up during the day. Then head back out to where ever.
