Is it worth renewing SSCP?

I received an email from ISC2 today saying that it is that time. I have to pay $65 for maintenance fees. I am still working in IT but it does not seem like this cert helped me with anything. I got my CASP last year and seems like I should just stick with that.

I would stick with renewing my highest level certs. When you go on to get the CISSP you can drop the renewal for SSCP. Renewing will have been a good investment if you apply for a job opportunity where the hiring manager cares about your certs being current.

The logic I have heard for keeping both current is that one is a managerial cert, the other shows practitioner skills. I guess it depends on where you see your career going. If one is trying to show employers that one possesses security skills, I really don't believe SSCP and CASP are known well enough. Whether or not you think it deserves it, CISSP has the name recognition.
