Hello
I try to resolve such problem: I'am learning from two book , one of this book is "CCNA in 60 days" Paul Browning (2012) , the second is not englisch book(2011). Many of typical commands that are used in both of this book doasn't exist in my Pocket Tracer (6.0.1.0011). The cause is something else then using user/previlage/configuration mode. As you can see on printscreen there are many differencies between commands in book and in router CLI. It block me because I can't practice some excercise.
How to resolve this problem ?

Thanks for your help

Hmm, now, I don't know if packet tracer actually uses IOS..so, that would be my guess? I've been stuying for CCENT the past few months and I have a two routers and a switch that I practice on and I don't think I've seen some of those commands before. But, that could be just me being a newb :)

If it's not supported in Packet Tracer then you need a real router/switch or possibly GNS3. A no!all! pointed out Packet Tracer does not run actual IOS, it's just a simulated environment.

Thank for you help. I start GNS3 and load c3725-adventerprisek9_ivs-mz.124-15.T14 image. Now I have the same commends in book and in router CLI . Even there is some more commends in GNS3 :)
    Thanks a lot.

Packet Tracer is a great learning tool that is really helpful because it offers a lot of option to practice switching.

However you always have to keep in mind that it is a limited simulator that keeps the options all very simple. This helps in the very beginning because you are not seeing 100s of options listed but you will find lots of things missing and wonder why. I was disappointed the most with the limited debug options in packet tracer.
