hey guys, do any of you think that 70-270 is going to be discountinued soon or after the release of Vista? Thanks.

Probably what will be discontinued is the 70-210 Windows 2000 Pro exam. The XP exam will be around for at least several more years. -

No, not soon. 70210 (Windows 2000) is still available, so XP will be for at least several years to come. So there no need to worry about that if you are starting with MS certs now. -

I was also thinkin same in the night as I have just got this cert... I dont think it's gonna be discountinued soon... not before atleast 2 years.. when MS comes out with a cert for Vista.. My try would b to get it as soon as possible to get the best out of it... what do u think??

It's still good to have a background in the past OS and servers because the newer ones just build on top of them. Getting XP cert even though Vista is coming out next year should not effect your goals now. Most companies don't even jump the gun by upgrading to the latest OS so you might want to think about that as well. Alot of companies right now still run Windows 2000 just like the company I work for. Just my 2 cents.
