Do you use PuTTY for accessing cisco devices at work?

I use PuTTY for practice but I was wondering do people use that at work as well? or do they use something more professional from cisco?

Putty initially. Now it's more of the SuperPutty. You can manage multiple sessions that way and have your AAA credentials pre-entered

Secure CRT on MAC, and windows. I use Putty or ITerm when I just need to jump on something quick. I have too many clients with too many devices to not have them saved.

    Use putty daily.

Experience with it was actually a prerequisite of my hire, lol.

SecureCRT on Windows usually. Terminator on Linux is my preferred method though.

Teraterm is what I used to use when I did more networking stuff, putty just seems clunky or something. Now I mostly just use a linux vm to ssh to other linux machines, since I usually have one open anyway. Would probably buy SecureCRT if I started needing ssh from a windows box.

I've never worked on a production network (yet) but have spent many hours on my CCNP topology lab and also SSH'ing into many other devices.

I would really struggle to use Putty all the time, when I was doing a Mininet / Openflow SDN Project I had to use Putty and it was painful.

For Mac OSX, I like to use ZTerm! It's shareware, but awesome. PuTTY for windows. KiTTY is not bad either.

I use putty for anything ssh. There are add-ons/variants out there that make it much nicer, like the putty connection manager.

XShell is a nice alternative to SecureCRT. It's free for home use.

I use PuTTY at home and work. Great program and the price is unbeatable.

I was offered a choice of PuTTY or TerraTerm on my first day. I chose PuTTY as that is what I was already familiar with.

PuTTY sucks but hey if people want to use it meh, whatever. I prefer to use tools that make me more productive and less overhead.

ZOC, SecureCRT are my choices for terminal access. I'd even use SuperPuTTY before reg PuTTY

I use both. Even bought a personal copy of SecureCRT since the last place I was at did not use it. I prefer it for it for the 'send chat to all' box and I configured the automatic logging for every session. Comes in handy when reviewing changes or outages.

I still use putty everyday as well for those one-off devices I don't have a session for in SecureCRT.
