I remember reading on here a few years back about some companied that you can get work through. You let them know what you do and they email you when people have projects that need to be done. anyone know hat I am talking about? If so, what are the companies that do this type of "hired gun" placement?

I've got a kid and freelancing doesn't really provide you with a stable salary so I just took the alternative route and gained enough skills to demand a higher salary at some company. Difference between trying to make a quick buck vs making an investment.
