Could someone tell me which version of STP is used on the exam, if it isn't specified in the question? I'm taking it this week so I just want to be sure in case it isn't stated.

STP, RSTP and PVSTP.

Cisco isn't trying to trick you, they will give you all necessary information for each problem. Either by their provided output or you searching through show output on your own, you will be able to answer every question if you have the knowledge to do so.
