Lab question

typfromdacotypfromdaco Member Posts: 96 ■■■□□□□□□□
I am studying for ICND 2 and plan on going for my CCNP after my deployment, but for now I have a 3750, 2960, and a 2950. If I add two 2611's to my little lab, will that be sufficient for ICND2 and fill some of the needs for CCNP?

Will be fine...although 3 routers would be better to do multiple area OSPF's and other routing protocols experiments.

A lot of the ccnp switch labs do use two layer 3 switches

Thanks for the help gents, I ended up purchasing a 2950, 2 2611s with a WIC-1T each, and a 1760 VPN Bundle with a WIC-2T. These will go along with the 3750 and 2960 I already have. This should be sufficient, correct?

I can't recall for sure but I think there may be labs that use three routers for the CCNA.

Most labs that are configured with 3 routers can still be done by just setting up 2 routers. You need to make any adjustments to the lab scenario yourself and just understand why you make the changes. Also if you have the switches you can use GNS3 to working on the routing that requires more devices.

    Good Luck
