ICND1 to ICND2

So, a couple of weeks ago, I passed CCENT, and I just purchased the ICND2 study materials for the full CCNA. Looking at the study material, it appears to me , that 70% of the material is just a re-hash of ICND1 with the remaining 30% new stuff being EtherChannel, Hot Standby, and a little WAN stuff.. Oh! EIGRP also.

I recall a couple of the folks around here stating that one should just go for the full CCNA exam instead of the two exam route.

Any comments?

Thanks

I'm not really sure what your asking.

If you don't plan to go routing you might never have to take the CCNA. CCENT opens up the other paths.
The two exam route has the obvious cost advantage if this is new material and you fail an exam. If you know the material with no doubt then it probably saves you time taking one test instead of two.

My take on the material is:
ICND 1 is more about exposing you to the technology. ICND 2 starts to go a little deeper with it.
