SSCP Pass - 5/17/2014
Passed SSCP yesterday! I have around 3 years of direct IT Security-related experience and thought this exam was definitely pretty basic. Only reason I took it is because it's been about a year since I did a cert and my employer is reimbursing me . I used the Gibson AIO, bits and pieces of the (ISC)2 guide, and cccure quizzes - which I thought were much more difficult than the actual exam.
Time spent studying:
- Skimmed through the AIO in about week
- Practice quizzes/reviewed all material I thought I was weak on for about 1-2 hours day for a week and a half leading up to the exam.
CISSP is definitely on the radar, but I probably won't think about going back to that until around this time next year or early 2016. I think right now I'm going to give Linux+ a shot, and I signed up for a python course on Udemy with the $10 promo. Ultimately, I'm priming myself for OSCP, which I'd like to start immediately after I wrap up with CISSP. I view CISSP as something that will help me with my career, and OSCP as a personal goal I'd like to achieve.

You don't have to submit anything before you take the exam. After you take the exam, you submit everything and find someone to endorse you. If you don't have the required experience in one of the domains, you can become an 'Associate of (ISC)2' until you get that experience
See the following link for more info: https://www.isc2.org/endorsement.aspx
