WGU BS:IT or BS: Network Administration

I am torn between the two programs. Work wants me to have the Server 2012 certifications, but I don't know if they would be happy with the server 2k8 ones and then doing the upgrade in time.

I haven't applied or have a referral yet, so I hope to do that soon. I am just not certain which one to take. A lot of these courses seem like they will be fairly boring for me with 14 years of experience under my belt. I want to knock these out though and have a degree. It held me up from my last job switch not having one, and I don't want to experience that again.

I have 3 kids that I raise on my own, go super-dad right? So I'll have to juggle this in between raising them too.

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated!

    Personally I would get the MCSA 2008 (640, 642, 646) then take the upgrade exam to get the MCSA 2012. After that I would transfer in your MCSA 2008 and start WGU.

    Edit: There is no BS: Network Admin, it is BS: Information Technology with an emphasis in Network Administration.

    After some discussion with some friends, I am actually leaning towards THE BS: IT Software. I have a ton of experience in web programming over the years so the bulk of this IT part should be easy.

    My mentor said their upgrading to MS Server 2012 July 2014. So its coming soon.

    I finished up the entrance stuff. Hopefully, I did well enough to pass. I think my essay sucked. I didn't really have time to revise it or anything so I just ran with what I knew. Most of the language stuff wasn't bad, but oh my goodness there was one question that just never felt correct. Glad to be done, it made my head hurt recalling all of that old stuff all at once. It made me realize I haven't taken a course in 10 years.

    I felt the same way with my math portion and essay. But made it through! Although this was a year in a half ago. I keep thinking if I had pulled the trigger then I might be almost done. Maybe.
