XTerm on OpenSUSE crashing

I'm facing a weird problem in OpenSUSE, latest edition.
Running VirtualBox, but after a few minutes in XTerm, it just crashes and I can't run commands. The OS graphic itself works, but not the XTerm. All I can do is to press ALT+F2 and run command 'kill -9 -1' to kill all processes.
Any help as I can't find anything useful online.

So how would you fix this if you were asked in an interview? -
