Wow, thank you for sharing this information icon_thumright.gif +rep If time allowed, I was planning on taking this exam sometime this year since I already took a class for the VCP DCV 5.1. The 50% off is a good incentive to aim to take the exam around that time.

I wish this was extended outside VMworld to any testing center for the same time period...!!

Yep, just tested it and only works for the mentioned testing center only. What a pity! Though I think there'll be discounts for other centers too, there usually have been discounts around VMworld days.

We will probably hear more promotions as we get closer to VMWorld. It is rather unfortunate that the promotion is for that testing center. I cannot recall if VMWorld is open to the public or if you have to have an invite.

You need to part with $1595 minimum to be able to attend VMworld. Or get your employer to pay. Anyone can attend.

Ouch! That full price is looking quite good right now. Someday, I plan to attend one of the VMWorld events. Until then, I'll just enjoy the event merchandise.

As certified individual you get a discount. Not massive, but I think around $100 or so.

Registered to take VCAP-DCA while at VMworld. Been working on objectives 1 and 2 for the past week.

So, it's an extra benefit for VMWorld attendees - most attendees pay to attend (or their employers do) so any discount coming back to that group of people is welcome...
