Do we get a paper/pencil during the exam for CCENT?

I'm curious if we need to do all the subnet calculations in our head or if we get paper.

THANKS.

    Usually, you'll get an erasable sheet of paper (laminated) and a marker.

    You'll get some a few sheets of laminated paper with a marker to perform your notes and calculations. I wrote down all the class C subnet mask after I sat down but before I started the test when I took my CCENT. You should still have it down in your head, its just faster.

    Before you start the exam you are given the chance to write some notes on a piece of paper or a whiteboard, along with a marker. But You must understand subnetting fully to be able to get through the exam.

    Tip: Before starting my exam i used a technique for my exam, I wrote down the bits, mask, subnets, hosts on that whiteboard.

    Like this(example) :
    Bits /25 /26 /27 /28 /29 /30
    Masks 128 192 227 240 248 252
    Subnets 2 4 8 16 32 64
    Hosts 126 62 30 14 6 2
