So supposedly you can just take their free 2.5 hr course online and then take the cert? I thought you had to go to an authorized college in order to take this course?

Essendon Member Posts: 4,546 ■■■■■■■■■■Yeah when the VCA was free, it wasnt so bad. But now full price ($150, I think), it's just not worth it anymore. Study for it, but dont take the test unless your company will pay.

Also a college in NC popular on here offers a 8 week course for VCP. I'm doing it in August. Go to the search feature on the main page and search "Stanly" you should be able to find it quick.... -

I went to the local community college that has a "Continuing Education" department that offers a lot of IT classes. My class was 80 hrs. Two nights a week for 3.5 hrs each night in a classroom. It was about 11 weeks. I would strongly recommend looking at similar programs. I really enjoyed the structure of the class and the instructor knew his stuff. Don't do a bootcamp. They're too short and you won't learn much. Good luck!
