NCSA (seems like a scam to me but i'm not sure)

I just took an online certification exam from them and it was fairly easy and I passed (not a surprise here!) Anyway, I'm almost 100% positive this is just a scam company. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I was reading on Tom's IT Pro website that they are legitimate. Free Online Certification Exams From NCSA

Seems like a legitimate way for employers just to test employees if they are competent in certain areas. Nothing more honestly, nothing that you can take with you and put on a resume I would assume, it doesn't look like it carries much weight. Although someone correct me if I am wrong.

Also looks good to me, but I don't know what all info they may ask for. Just don't give out your SS# or Date of birth unless you trust it 100%. You can always put in sudo info that you can change later if find out it is legit.

True, we can't have any identity theft! Haha

Although Identity theft is no laughing matter according to LifeLock! But would this even be resume worthy that is the real question?
