271 - 272 and MCP

I have my A+ and Network+ certs and am thinking of trying for MCDST. My question is if you pass 271 and/or 272 is that considered MCP too? What study material is the best? Are there technotes on MCDST? Thanks in advance.

Yes, passing any MS exam, including a MCDST exam, will make you a MCP. We don't have TechNotes for the MCDST exam, but from previous candidates I hear that the 70-270 TechNotes are useful for the MCDST exams too. Also browse the posts in this forum for a link to the free course at Microsoft.com.

Thanks for the info. I have been on the MS site and it looks as if all I need for MCSA is 270, 290, and 291. I may attempt that route.
