SDN/Network Virtualization
the_Grinch
Anyone working with SDN and Network Virtualization? Looking on some pointers on where I should begin to do my research. Also, if you are working with it, do you feel that the CCNA is the way to go as far as knowledge to start off with?

If you're looking to get into that arena, a strong knowledge of networking fundamentals is definitely required. CCNA studying can provide that for sure, but focus more on the vendor-neutral material (not vendor/Cisco specific).

What research are you doing?

Well I'm thinking ahead to my Masters and want to work with my counterpart on a thesis he'll be doing. It's basically security related research that I believe could be greatly helped by the use of network virtualization and SDN.
