Studied the book in pdf format for a few days and then took the test. It's pretty straight forwarded. CBT Nuggets has videos on the subject if you are a visual learner.

May I know what book are you referring to?
    Is it Microsoft Official Curriculum?

Most MTA's are pretty easy so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Obviously make sure you go over the objectives and study them. Although I haven't done the Security Fundamentals, I have done the OS and Networking one's and breezed past those.

How many questions are on the exam? How long did you study before taking the test?
