my ccna is going to expire soon. is cisco going to renew my cert after i pass the entire ccnp exam or only oneof the switch or route or tshoot exam?

You only need to pass one.

Guys I have the old ccna 640-802 certificate. Can I still take the CCNP then?

You have to hav ea valid CCNA to be CCNP certified. Doesn't matter what version.

I'd suggest getting a lateral cert, specifically CCNA Security if your just trying to keep your R/S valid, the Sec exam seems easier to pass than most others.
