console cable problem

in CCNA & CCENT
So, I just received my home lab and the one thing that's stopping me from working on it is that I don't have a port on my pc that the DB-9 end of a console cable can connect to. I'm not sure what I need. Is there a usb version I can buy?

I used this exact model as well, but was unable to get it to work right. It ended up being my terminal emulation software (for whatever reason). I use Terra Term now, but tried puTTy and hyper term without any luck.
Also the drivers can be troublesome to get to work right, but once they are setup you are good to go. -

I bought my usb to console cables here. Probably more pricier than amazon but I'm happy with them
