CCP not working

Is there another tool different than CCP that I can use to manage our switches/routers? Don't worry, it's not for me, I prefer to use the CLI 
. Apparently, it's not working well with the latest version of Java and we have an application that needs an up to date version of it. I've heard about Prime but haven't really looked it up yet.

On CCP, when you open IE, make sure you have the address to the CCP server added in the "Compatibility view settings".
For Java: Go to Java in the Control Panel (Assuming you're using Windows). Go to the view tab. Set the Java runtime parameters with the following: "-Xmx256m -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false".
Go to advanced. Select the "Java plug-in" tree. Uncheck the check box for Enable next-generation Java Plug-in. The runtime parameters is the only thing I hadn't tried yet. It's still not working though. We're getting "Could not create the Java virtual machine" when starting CCP.
We have version 2.8 of CCP, 7u67 of Java and IE11. It used to work fine with the previous version of Java . -

Best I've seen is Oracle EBS only working on versions up to 6u45...they can't make their business-critical ERP package compatible with, get this, another product that they own?
