in CCNA & CCENT
I had several scheduling conflicts that made me reschedule 3 times already. I finally took it today!
The last two weeks I was concerned because I have not had a chance to study most of June and July. All of the really little details were getting fuzzy. I crammed the last two weeks and managed to refresh enough of the data.
Time:
1 year (yes I know that's a long time)
Sources:
Cisco Net Academy, Wendell Odem ICND1 & 2, CBT Nuggets, Home lab 3 routers 4 switches, Packet Tracer and of course TechExams.net
I waited till I was done with Net Academy to take the tests. This was the main reason it took a year.
My basic order of study was to take the classes. Repeat the labs at home.
Watch the CBT Nuggets series. Repeat some labs.
Read Odems book.
Take the practice tests from CBT Nuggets and Odems book.
I built a silly packet tracer file and just kept adding every feature I could think of. This was helpful for checking show commands.
I never did get an IOU file for the new GNS3 beta or I would have used that.
Thank you all for the help!

I just ordered a server to install ESXi. I plan to set up a virtual domain this year while finishing up my Associates in Computer Science.
The desktop support jobs I have been seeing really want candidates familiar with Windows servers and Active directory.
I need to get my foot in the door somewhere so this is my next step.
As for cisco I picked up a lab guide for CCNP switch. I will play with that this year to keep fresh and hopefully start to study for it sometime next summer. I'm in no rush as I don't have actual experience yet to support the certification. -
