fiber channel at home?

I have a couple of qlogic fiber channel cards. Could I put one in my workstation, and another in a NAS box and have the NAS present storage over the FC?
If I can't do FC, what's the best way to go? iSCSI? I've got multiple NICs (gigE) in each computer, so I could always bond/aggregate those.
My workstation is Windows 8, and the NAS box has nas4free on it right now. I really like ZFS

ehnde Member Posts: 1,103For anyone else that happens across this thread - I wound up just going with iSCSI. It's not like I'm going to saturate a 1G link in a home lab, right?
As best as I could determine, FC is just not something people do with a windows desktop for storage. Not saying it can't be done, but I couldn't figure it out.Climb a mountain, tell no one. -
