No reason to rush through something like this as it is material one hopefully knows. Download the objectives from Comptia and work through the areas you need the most preparation. Meyers text is one of the best around.
What type of material are you currently using? What type of experience do you have working with the technology being tested? Keep in mind, while A+ may be an entry level exam, it IS geared toward candidates WITH experience. You may need to gain a few more hours of experience to be more comfortable, but even with a month, you do have some time, just not a lot.Plantwiz

Doyen Member Posts: 397 ■■■□□□□□□□This is a great entry level certification if you are starting out in IT or want some education on technology. I would recommend using a free resource: Professor Messer's A+ videos from YouTube. For books, I would recommend Mike Meyers All in One A+, Exam Cram A+ by David Prowse, & A+ for Dummies by Gle Clarke. Other good videos that I've used are CBT Nuggets & Live Lessons. I have not used Pluralsight or Trainsignal (I think Pluralsight purchased them), but I heard they are also a good resource. I've also used Microsoft's Rapid Review over the weekend before the exams. MeasureUP, Transcender and totalsem. Also, try to review and comprehend some **** sheets before you take the exam such as the one from the A+ for Dummies, SimulationExams and Exam Cram. Good luck on your studies and free to message me if you had questions on some information sourcesGoals for 2016: [] VCP 5.5: ICM (recertifying) , [ ] VMware VCA-NV, [ ] 640-911 DCICN, [ ] 640-916 DCICT, [ ] CCNA: Data Center, [ ] CISSP (Associate), [ ] 300-101 ROUTE, [ ] 300-115 SWITCH, [ ] 300-135 TSHOOT, [ ] CCNP: Route & Switch, [ ] CEHv8, [ ] LX0-103, [ ] LX0-104

Street_Speed Registered Users Posts: 3 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks for the input guys. I do have several years of experience working with technology in various ways. Along with being trained in college for the last two years. I took the A+ courses at my college a few semesters ago but, the courses were for the 701 and 702 exams due to the 801 and 802 coming out right as we ended the semester. I feel confident taking the tests so it's not that. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions about other sources to study. I have a lot of Mike Meyers and Professor Messer materials under my belt and others I am looking at. Btw, now Comptia won't let you reschedule the exam(s) once you have used your voucher(s).

Plantwiz Mod Posts: 5,057 ModWell, you likely will be ready in a month's time!
Good to know about the no reschedule...wonder if that is tied to vouchers only, though?? Will try to look into that.
Best wishes!

Doyen Member Posts: 397 ■■■□□□□□□□I wonder if the rescheduling is a new policy tied to vouchers. I know that a couple of months ago I rescheduled my Security+ exam twice due to my work schedule and I was using a voucher from my college. However, in all fairness, we have a PearsonVue exam center in our college library and I asked the librarian to reschedule me instead of logging into my CompTIA PearsonVue account. If they did change the policy recently, I wouldn't see the reasoning behind it since I know some people that schedule for an exam about a month in advance and regulate their study time before they take it as a motivational factor.Goals for 2016: [] VCP 5.5: ICM (recertifying) , [ ] VMware VCA-NV, [ ] 640-911 DCICN, [ ] 640-916 DCICT, [ ] CCNA: Data Center, [ ] CISSP (Associate), [ ] 300-101 ROUTE, [ ] 300-115 SWITCH, [ ] 300-135 TSHOOT, [ ] CCNP: Route & Switch, [ ] CEHv8, [ ] LX0-103, [ ] LX0-104

Street_Speed Registered Users Posts: 3 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks again guys. I have been and will continue to check out all the suggestions in this thread. I just don't want to over do it like I did on one of my Microsoft certification exams and almost fail lol.
I was told before buying a voucher by one of my professors that they allow rescheduling, but when I scheduled the exam, a disclaimer came up saying you can't reschedule. Either way, I feel pretty confident about my ability to pass them. But, I always like to be safe and continue to go over any sections or problems I might get stuck on or go brain dead on lol.
Again, thanks for the help everyone. I truly appreciate it. After I pass these certifications, hopefully that is lol, next is several more from Comptia and other organizations lol.
