Describe your typical day at work

Just a fun thread...
7:45AM Wake up, stumble around, get a coffee, get ready
8:20AM Drive to office (unless its Wednesday, in which case I drive 1hr to our headquarters to work. Tuesday, working from home)
8:30AM Walk in, sit at desk, read emails, zone out while drinking coffee (this starts @ about 9:30AM on Wednesdays)
9:00AM Meetings/more email
12:00PM Go home, feed dogs, eat something
1:00PM Various meetings, daydreaming about travel
3:00PM Drive home from corporate HQ if it is Wednesday
4:00PM Do any production scheduled changes for the day
4:30PM-5:00PM Go home for the day
Pretty boring, though I'm only able to do actual scheduled 'work' on production environments outside of business hours. Most of the day is spent either checking emails, on meetings, or searching the Googles.
Once a month, I'm on call for a week. I've been averaging 0-1 call per week typically taking up 30mins of my time. Rarely, I'll have a major maintenance to support which will take several hours.

8:15AM: Get coffee and pull a snack bar out of my desk.
8:30AM - 12:00PM: Respond to calls/emails/visits as they come in. 90% of the time I'm sitting here studying, reading articles, and talking to my girlfriend over hangouts.
12:00PM: Drive 10 minutes home to get lunch. Sit on the couch and avoid thinking about going back to work.

5:15PM: Arrive at home, change, and contemplate dinner.

bobloblaw Member Posts: 228Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me - and, uh, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour. I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

I don't know. I guess it just gives my tired ass time to adjust to the idea of finally crawling out of bed. If I have to get up as soon as the alarm goes off...well, that's just not going to happen. -
paul78 Member Posts: 3,016 ■■■■■■■■■■Gosh... I don't think that I've had a typical day in this job yet. There are only periods of ups and downs and the occasional stressful issue. My only regular routine is to wake around 6:30 and be in the office around 7:00 or 7:30.
