Exiting IT

Hello All,

First time poster, long time lurker. I would like to thank all of the forum members for providing their insight over the years. I enjoy reading about your experiences on life, career, and certifications.

I've been in IT now for over 10 years. I haven't had the cards fall in the right place in order to land a position I really enjoy. These last few years have been really rough and now my health is being affected. With that in mind, I've decided to get out of IT and focus on something different. My problem is that all I have ever known or studied for is IT. I haven't come across too many threads in the IT Jobs / Degrees section about people exiting the field. A paid career counseling session is in my future and I've searched around on various other forums regarding this topic as well. Currently, I'm in an information gathering phase and I'm curious what other fields people have switched to, or have had friends switch to, when exiting IT.
