So I finished this in 9-10 days, and must say it was awesome, this is probably the best technical book I have ever read. I am now offically a Scott Lowe fan, someone with five or more years VMware experience could easily learn some things from this book.

Essendon Member Posts: 4,546 ■■■■■■■■■■Yep, chuck the Clustering Technical Deepdive by Epping and Denneman into one of your slots too. I heard somewhere the panel will grill you on the HA/DRS components in the DX: DCV defense (not surprising given HA/DRS are critical components of a design)

kj0 Member Posts: 767I think Nick Marshall contributed the most to the 5.5 book this time, It is very much like Scott's previous book Mastering vSphere 5. I've got the design book and can't fault either. Except, I would like to see some more in depth scenarios, similar to what was in the MCITP MSPress books.

kj0 Member Posts: 767They were a much of a muchness. They are both great books. You would think by now I could retain the information I have read in both books, but alas, it is not the case From an interest point of view, it definitely kept you reading more and more, like a good novel.
I'll check it out. Would be great to get some scenario labbing going. -
