Over my job....need a ICT resume cover letter.

Hi guys,I've reached the stage with my current work environment that I need to start hunting around for a change. My work environment is good and my work collegues are awesome but I've been in the same role and environment for a long time. The prospects for more technical work is promising but the prospects of promotion and/or lateral movement are almost non-existent mainly due to the work location icon_sad.gifAnd I cannot afford to move at least for at least for another twelve months icon_sad.gifSo, tossing the resume out to some local ICT mobs and jobs to see what pops up.I've tweaked my resume but am a bit stuck on the cover letter, I'm good when I have selection criteria to address but I've never really tried canvasing for jobs...in awhile. So help?

Dropped my resume and cover letter into three places in the last two weeks.

    - Two were cold canvasing and reccommended to me by friends since they are supposed to have work going soon.
    - One rang me back about an interview time; I've called them back once but no return call as of yet.
    - The third was for a call center job in a major company, I tried to seriously sell my customer skills from a busy ICT service desk environment and the fact I'm also really tech savy.

Waiting on responses now, just have to remember to be patient with these things.
