SAN RAM Cacheing

For some reason I am just now discovering this. Ran across this guys before and after RAM cache IOPS screens and was blown away. I am very eager to incorporate this into my production SAN but definitely want to fully understand whats going on first and if there are any risks.

Is anyone else using SSD's to cache in their production SAN environment? Where did you go to learn about it? Any method to your approach?

It's a great alternative to large data storage compared to a typical SAN. SANs are absolutely huge in the enterprise now, especially with virtualization taking over. So you will pay top dollar!

I built 3 - 20disk arrays running atop Debian 7 using SSDs for my ZIL and L2ARC last month. I'm using these arrays at my DR and one here locally for my Veeam backups. I'm very pleased with them!
