Please. Don't post "Walls of Text" as exam reviews. It's damn hard for people to go through all of it. :P

I think the website is having trouble resolving the text you inserted into your detailed post. icon_wink.gif

Did not realize the uproar it would cause. I had nothing "new" or enlightening to add that the previous thousands haven't already said such as:

    AIO 6th Shon Harris
    Eric Conrad 2nd Edition
    Eric Conrad 11th Hour
    Practice Questions from Shon Harris
    End of Chapter Questions

Did not want to waste time posting same thing that has been posted numerous times. If I felt like anything I had to add would put you over the top- I would have added it the first time.
    • Read , study and understand concepts
    • Memorizing will only help on few questions
    • Use time management

Did you read all of those books or just skim through them?

Anything you add will be helpful even if you are repeating what people already said. Sometimes there is truth in numbers :)

I tried on more than 1 occasion to read Shon Harris "cover to cover" and just couldn't do it. The shaded boxes, quick tips, end of chapter quizzes are all helpful. The full book is just too much fluff and wasted words of stories. Eric Conrad is easier to read. On the exam you may see a question and you think- "none of those choices are good from a Security standpoint" , so that is where understanding concepts and choosing the "best answer of the four" comes in. When you understand concept you can usually eliminate 2 answers quickly. I did a lot of practice questions from various sites, but in the end I think what put me in the "pass" column was understanding concepts and breaking questions down to choose the "best" answer.
