However, doesn't the lx0-101 only give you half og the Linux+? I'm pretty sure you need to pass the 102 next to get the full Linux+.Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
To-do | In Progress | Completed -

ivanfapr Member Posts: 16 ■■■□□□□□□□Congratulations! I took the LX0-101 yesterday and passed it. Now, for the LX0-102. How is the LX0-102 Exam compare to the LX0-101 Exam?

Drethyl Member Posts: 121 ■■□□□□□□□□LX0-102 is so much easier in my opinion. If I had to scale it on difficulty i'd say 6/10. If you passed 101 there is no reason why you wont be able to pass the 102.

How much prior Linux knowledge did you have and how long did it take you to study for the exams. Also did you find any particular resource really helpful or useless?2020 Goals: [x ] C|HFI [x] CySA+ [x ] MSCSIA

Since I started at my technical college about two years ago i've had about 5 linux classes. One was just strictly Kali linux for pen testing. I actually had no intention on taking the linux exam but I found a really cheap voucher so I decided to sit for the exam. I took 102 first because of the short time frame I would have to study before it expired. In total I studied for about a month and a half for the two exams. -

I have a question since I'm getting ready for the 101 exam too. I created an account on LPIC website and originally wanted to get LPIC-1 cert. Now I'm a little bit confused. Would I be able to get Linux+ when I obtain LPIC-1 or it works only the other way around? Should I signup for LPIC-1 101 exam or same exam for Linux+?
I'm planning to continue LPIC certification path and eventually get LPIC-2 cert too.
Edited: Sorry, just found out that it works only Linux+ to LPIC-1 not vice versa

CompTIA Linux+ and LPI LPIC-1 | Greg Porter's Blog
What I did was take my lx-101 and 102 and when you pass both of them you also qualify for the LPIC-1 cert as well for free. You would register on LPI first with your email and info and when you take the comptia linux 101 and 102 it will ask if you want to send your data to LPIC you would select yes and you will receive a certification from them. I'm actually still waiting to receive my LPIC-1 cert I got an email stating I would recieve it in 3-5 weeks from the email but nothing yet.
