wirerat Member Posts: 251You can check the features of these two images on Cisco yourself. Go to www.cisco.com and register an account. This is a CCO account but without all the extra bonuses you get of owning a cisco product. Once you have registered the account and verified it go to this link:
http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp
A login box will appear and you will put in the username and password you just registered. Once logged in this will open up the Cisco Feature Navigtor. I find the "Compare Releases" the best when wanting to look at all the features of an IOS image.
To help you along on the search, the two images you have are:
c-l is the Remote Access Server feature set
is-l is the IP Plus feature set
Hope this helps. -

wirerat Member Posts: 251If these images are meant to be put on a 2500 series router the names would appear something like this:
c2500-is-l.123-12.bin
c2500-c-l.123-16.bin
If both have filenames like above I would choose the is-l version to put on the router. -
zom Member Posts: 41 ■■□□□□□□□□mind if i ask y do u choose it rather than the c-l.123-16? more stable?MCSA 2K3, MCSE 2K3, MCDBA

wirerat Member Posts: 251The IP Plus feature set has alot more features enabled so that when you are studying for your CCNA and maybe CCSP or CCNP later on down the line, you have those features already on the router.
