70-680 Upgrade Path

Hi Guys/Gals! I recently passed the 70-680 exam and I'm interested in earning the 70-689 for Windows 8/8.1 MCSA. I was wanting to know if I had to pass the 70-685 prior to taking the 70-689. Can anyone chime in? Thanks!

, you don't need the 70-685 to upgrade to MCSA: Windows 8. Naturally, since I don't work for MS, I could be reading their website incorrectly.

Yes I think you do have to take 70-685 prior to taking 70-689. It's a MCSA:Windows 7 upgrade to MCSA:Windows 8.1

Yeah it looks like I'll need to pass 685 or 686 first. Earning either will bump me to MCITP which would then qualify me for 689. Thanks!
