I have had a team there from pretty much the beginning (B-Cloud), it's a time sync actually, some of the tasks can be pretty cool.

The VCA section is a quick way of getting points... I have yet to add my VCP-DCV certification for a 1000 points

VCA-WM Prep = ~800
VCA-Cloud Prep = ~800
VCA-DCV Prep = ~500

VCA-WM Take Exam = 250
VCA-Cloud Take Exam = 250
VCA-DCV Take Exam = 250

VCA-WM Pass The Exam = 500
VCA-Cloud Pass The Exam = 500
VCA-DCV Pass The Exam = 500

VCA Total = ~4350 points

^^ Agreed, how did you only have 7000 though, you should have 4 VCPs to go with your 4 VCAPs?

I had to laugh when I saw you at 7000 so quick though, it took me all day to get there!! haha

You do know that it stops at 20,000 points and then resets to 0 and you start at another level! - there is 15 levels!!

Thanks, I'm not stopping there. I just got all the low hanging fruit, used a lot of my posts from here and my blog. Going to do the VCA's by the weekend and have a look at a few webinars - I reckon I should be top of the 30 day chart by the weekend.

I'm going to hit the technical papers on level 2 and take my time because that stuff deserves to be read slowly but there is always triple point Tuesdays to keep the counter going!!

Mini-Objective complete: Top of the 7 Day & 30 Day Charts!!



Seems like I'm the only one doing this!! haha... I do find it useful as a tool to learn other areas of vSphere that I nothing about though. Going to stay on level 1 prestige and work on the 6 month leaderboard/goal while slowly working on webcasts, blogs, Hands-On-Labs and triple point Tuesdays.. I've already picked up some new information that I want to lab out... so I find some use out of it

I couldn't agree more, it is an absolutely amazing tool for discovering learning resources for the various VMware products and connecting to industry experts.

6 month learderboards reset on Oct 15th 2014 which is why I stopped submitting stuff. I'll be back on after that. Cool, thanks for the link - I though it was a moving 6 month average - just like the 7-day and 30-day moving averages, guess we will find out on Oct 15th... But, if VirtualQuebec keeps completing tasks in like minutes I won't really care to keep up with him TBH - I want to use this to learn and get better with vSphere and the other products... not to win a 3D printer which frankly I would probably never use - a Mac Book Pro on the other hand I might

You guys are making great progress, I have bugger all time to go through the tasks. The VCDX prep takes up my early mornings and weekends.

Yeah I figured, being off work as I am at the moment I've got the time for this. I've probably got another 6 months off work being realistic (a long story, short) and this has aligned up with me getting back in to the workforce perfectly. I've nearly got enough points to become a vExpert, something I've wanted for a while and a few more posts on the blog will give me enough points for that. I'm only on week 1 of this journey but I'm finding this a fantastic framework for learning already - I hope I have some VCAPs to show at the end of all this.

Likewise .. Although for me its mainly work draining me and at weekends and before / after work, I actually don't want to go anywhere near a PC - quite tricky to get motivated right now - I just want sleep and whisky ...

I signed up. Asif really sold it for me. I plugged in certs and got 3555. Hopefully I'll have more time to poke around in the coming weeks.
