Anyone seeing quesitons about the Configuration Register on the ICND 1 exam?

Hi, TechExams.Net

I am a new member today and will be taking my ICND 1 tomorrow and in my general cram session I was reading about the Configuration Register, I understand the concept and how it works just wondering if I should spend some time memorizing the common Hex Values for the Register or should I just use that time to concentrate on the other "Main" topics of the test like OSPF and VLANs and the Show command outputs. ?

Thanks for any Help,
I'm looking forward to being part of this community.

I don't think they get into it in any detail if at all. Probably just the common config-register values such as 0x2102 and 0x2101. I would guess it would be just the basics you would need to know to do a password recovery.

No one can tell you what they saw on the exam. Best advice is go through the objectives and if it's there learn it.

    Good luck!

    It's in ICND2, not 1.

    I think you mean 0x2142--bypass the startup-config

Config register is covered for the CCNA, if its on the exam objectives you should brush up on it! Good luck! (No one can tell you if its on the test).

    Thanks everyone,
I will now ask if it is covered and not if anyone in particular saw it.
Thanks for the heads up on that rule as was not trying to **** in anyway. X D
Glad to know that is one less topic to go over for the test.
