Passed 220-802 Today Finally Certified!!!

Double JDouble J Member Posts: 7 ■□□□□□□□□□
After months of study and hard work I passed the 801 last week and the 802 today and now I'm finally certified. Feels Great. My only question is what should be my next move? I have no experience so what is my best chance of acquiring some? And what should be the next cert I go for? Was thinking of going for the Network+ but I've heard a lot of people say it's useless and I should go straight for the CCNA. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't say the network+ is useless. It is a great foundation step before going into the Cisco CCNA. I would say get the network+ down and then go into CCENT/CCNA because if you have no prior network experience or knowledge, it'll be a bit tougher to study for and understand the material.

    Goodluck.

congrats!!! I am getting ready to take my 802 and I am really excited to pass and finally get my cert! Then on to NET+. No cert is useless. They all build your resume for employers.

How did you study for the test?

    My study materials were:

    Mike Meyers book
    Exam Cram
    Exam Cram practice questions
    Professor Messer Videos

Out of them all I would recommend the Exam Cram books the most. Exam Cram seems to be more focused and concise and more straightforward about exactly what you need to know for the tests.

Congrats on the pass, I also think you should first start with net+ just to build a good foundation for the CCNA. Good luck on whatever you decide take on next!!! icon_thumright.gif
