Studying Materials for MCSA SQL Server

I apologize if this is a repeat topic, please give me the link to the original thread if there's one already exist.
I am planning to earn my MCSA SQL Server-2012 Certificate, Microsoft website recommends these books, do any of you have any good experience over them? What are other resources I can use? I plan on self-studying.

T-SQL Fundamentals by Itzik Ben-Gan is an often recommended book for SQL Server newbies.
