what are you guys suggstions on purchasing soundcard. not new top of the line, more like last years technology but still top notch sound quality.
i dont need this sound card for games or anything, just for blasting heavy metal.
i saw audigy 4 came out but i don't really need the new years technology.
so is audigy 2 my best choice?? or are there others

Turtle Beach has/had some comparable quality Sound Cards to Creative without the driver issues nor the cost.
You may consider one of their cards.
One of their cards some years back required 2 IRQ's to be free, but I'm could say whether their cards of today have the same requirement or not.Plantwiz
