best sound card for just music???... metal.. to be specific

what are you guys suggstions on purchasing soundcard. not new top of the line, more like last years technology but still top notch sound quality.
i dont need this sound card for games or anything, just for blasting heavy metal.

i saw audigy 4 came out but i don't really need the new years technology.

so is audigy 2 my best choice?? or are there others

    Turtle Beach has/had some comparable quality Sound Cards to Creative without the driver issues nor the cost.

    You may consider one of their cards.

    One of their cards some years back required 2 IRQ's to be free, but I'm could say whether their cards of today have the same requirement or not.
