Certifications Goals for 2015

The days are getting shorter. Nights a little colder. What better time to plan out next years goals.

2015 Goals: MCSA 2012 (417 upgrade) MCSE Server Infrastructure , MCSE Private Cloud, Server Virtualization with Hyper V and System Center, CCNP (tshoot-switch) Conditionals Possibly VCA and VCP... if I am not getting burned out towards end of next year. If I need a break these will wait....

Oh, every year is a good year to prepare for RHCE... In my case... Sad but true. But now it's different, my lpi cert expires in April so I'll try to get the LPIC-2 by April and then get the RHCE by the end of 2015.
There's a realistic deadline to chase, so that changes things.

If I've got the time/the motivation/future job dependent - MCSA:Windows 7

Also, new job, second line service desk or a junior/trainee - network/security job would be awesome.

Well I was a little distracted this year and lacked in balancing my lifestyle, I just couldn't commit as I thought I would. So next year I will be aiming to finish my MCSA by early Jan next year and maybe see if I can finish my CCNA before June/July then I will decide if I can go for MS Exchange or something in Voip or VMware, if I can accomplish that before the year ends I want to take a break from taking exams and start studying programming as a hobby.

Going to try and knock LPI Linux Essentials before the end of the year (so I have something to do while it slows down at work).

For 2015, I plan on trying to get my company to pay for some SANS courses and exams. That and maintain my CISSP, of course.

Right now, I'm wrapping up my studies for the A+ exam-doing the 801 first next month, then the 802 the month after that hopefully.. After that, I plan on embarking on Network + and then do either Cisco or Microsoft certs. Thankfully, I'm graduating this semester, so this would be a step in the right direction to get my IT career going.

Going to start with 70-413 and 70-414 to complete my MCSE Infrastructure, in first quarter / half of 2015
Then MCSE - Messaging and/or Private Cloud for the rest of the year
Plus any potential free MS exam vouchers that are offered!

A job change is in order this year so that's likely to shake things up. Really looking forward to knocking this out as I have started to play around with WordPress and would like to spend more of my time learning and developing my skills in that.

Hard to say specifically, but 2015 for me will be all Virtulization/Cloud certs because this is the direction I want my career to move into.

For me, aside from my usual technical studies, I'm adding some soft skill type into my study plan - ITIL v3, Comptia Project+ and CAPM for next year

Looking to grab my Net+ and MCSA for Win 7 now that I have money again. Already have my Net+ exam scheduled in for the second week of January.

I'm new to certifications. Looking to do Security+, Network+, Linux+ and ITIL v3.

Anyone have any recommendations on the order I should pursue them? I have a general Information Systems degree so there's no domain I'm particularly strong in at this point. Was also wondering if some of the knowledge from one exam would help out with another.

For example, if I take Network+ first would it be easier to understand Security+ and Linux+ material?
