[Hello,
I am new to this and hope I am in the right place. If not just tell me or
give me a link to where i can go to get help for my question. I want to get
MCP Certified in windows xp pro I dont want to get the full MCSE right now
just the MCP. What tutorials and where do you recommend to go for free ones
or fairly cheep ones to study and then take the MCP Windows xp pro test.

Greetings and welcome. You've found a great place to help in your studies. The exam you want is 70-270. You can get the official info from Microsoft, here. For study material, I like the Microsoft Press books, as well as the Sybex books. Also, there some great Technotes authored by the Webmaster, here. www.cramsession.com have good & free study guides, i'll agree they are not the best but if you are looking to do this on the cheap then they are very good.
Also I believe if you buy the MSPress self study book you get a discount voucher for the exam (I did with mine, don't know if they still do that)
