This depends on your learning style. If self-direction works for you, then do that route via videos and books. If you need to be in a classroom setting, then boot camps can be beneficial.

Bootcamps are usually expensive. What stryder144 mentions is a factor. My opinion is that it wouldn't make much sense to pay yourself for one given that Security+ can easily be achieved through other less costly means. Even if you have an employer willing to foot the bill, I think those training dollars can be put to better use and get better ROI both for you and the company.
