Anyone know how to change a template from “Updating” to “Initial” Template without creating a new shiny template ?

If you have existing service profiles associated with the updating template that you no longer want to update, choose Unbind from the template under that service profile -

joelsfood Member Posts: 1,027 ■■■■■■□□□□Looks like you will need to create a new template. Response on Cisco community to same question:
"You'll need to create a new Template and set it as updating from the initial setup. This prevents problems with people accidentally changing a template from Initial to Updating and applying changes to linked profiles unexpectedly."
It does make sense. -

That should let you choose initial vs updating. It worked on one of my chassis, anyway. I had an unbound service profile that I was using to try to test something else for a question on ieoc, and happened to notice that option.
