Worked for Lockheed MS2 for 5 years. It was great until there was a re-org. New manager came in and ruined everything. I was sad to leave, but had to bounce. Congrats.

I don't think they required it. They were impressed with my experience, as well as my knowledge of AD. It was never mentioned if having my BS was required. I don't think that's as big an issue in the gov't contracting world around here.

Exactly. Education requirements are right up there with salaries. Keep it to yourself. Job requirements aren't for everyone. Your skills and experience will speak for you. Doesn't matter what the job calls for, if you have the skillset and you can talk through an interview, you got it.

Finished my first week with Lockheed, and its been ok so far. The customer is slow, so I wont have accounts to any networks for at least two weeks. Then another couple of weeks until I get a permanent desk.

Itll be fun when I get to actually do some work :)

Why don't people live in the district.

I couldn't imagine being in traffic everyday. When I lived in DC

    Wake up at 7
    starbucks 7:30
    Metro 7:45
    Work 8:15

    Leave work at 4:30-5
    Happy hour's 5-7
    Possible date 8-11

Its way too many pretty girls in the city and stuff going on to be parked on 66, 495. Again if you have family this may not apply, but when I lived in the city I just had roommates until I made enough to live on my own to take advantage of all the there is to do.

I don't live in DC because I choose not to. My position is also in Reston. My commute has also only been 35 min for the past week (today included). Granted I get up at 530 and leave at 6. I also get home by 330-4pm to be with my kids. You may get to go out and hit happy hour, but I would rather spend that time with my family.
